October 4th is the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, who is remembered for his deep love and care for animals and all of God's creation. In the United Methodist tradition, churches often celebrate this day with a Blessing of the Animals--a beautiful reminder of God's love for every part of creation.
BRING YOUR BELOVED PET TO HARMONY UMC FOR A SPECIAL BLESSING!
Join us on Sunday, October 4th, from 2-4pm at Harmony UMC. Bring your furry, scaly, feathery, or otherwise adorable friends along for a blessing! Each pet will receive a certificate to take home as a special reminder of the day.
For everyone's safety, please have pets on a leash or safely secured in a carrier.
Come celebrate the animals who bring so much joy, companionship, and love into our lives--and give thanks to God for the gift of creation!
